About This Wiki
What this site is
WARDOGS Wiki is an independent, unofficial reference site about the video game WARDOGS,
developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17. It is published by hunt-games at
wardogs-game.hunt-games.com. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored
by BULKHEAD, Team17 Digital Limited or Valve Corporation, and it is not an official source of
information about the game.
Where the official sources are
If you want first-party information, go to the source. These are the official WARDOGS channels, and they take precedence over anything on this wiki:
- Official WARDOGS Steam store page — the authoritative source for release date, price, editions and system requirements
- Team17's official WARDOGS page — the publisher
- BULKHEAD's WARDOGS page — the developer
- Official WARDOGS community
- Team17 on YouTube — official trailers and developer videos
- Official Steam Community hub
Editorial policy
This wiki exists because WARDOGS launched into a search environment full of confidently stated information that nobody could actually have verified. Our whole reason for being is to be the site that does not do that. Four rules:
1. Every factual claim traces to a first-party source
Release dates, prices, system requirements, game mechanics and feature lists come from the official Steam store page, Team17, BULKHEAD, or official developer videos. Where we rely on press reporting of a developer statement — interviews, for example — we say that it is reported rather than presenting it as a published fact. Every page carries a Sources block at the bottom naming what it drew on.
2. Unconfirmed information is labelled, not smoothed over
When something has not been published by the developer, we say so explicitly rather than filling the gap. You will see three markers throughout the wiki:
| Marker | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Stated by BULKHEAD, Team17 or the official Steam page |
| Announced, undated / Planned | The developer has said it will happen, without committing to when |
| Not published / Estimate | No official statement exists. Any figure given is arithmetic or inference, and is flagged as such |
3. We would rather have a gap than a guess
This is the rule with real consequences. WARDOGS does not release until 10 September 2026, which means that as of writing, no verified weapon list, weapon statistics, vehicle prices, map callouts or tested settings exist. Other sites publish these anyway. We do not.
Pages like the weapon tier list and the Bakurani map guide therefore publish the systems and methodology now, and fill with tested data from the live build. That is a deliberate trade of short-term completeness for being correct.
4. Opinion is separated from fact
Some pages contain analysis — tactical advice, buying recommendations, our reading of how a system will play. Where that happens, the Sources block says so plainly: “this wiki's own analysis”. The is it worth it page is explicitly labelled as a pre-launch assessment rather than a review of a game we have played.
How this wiki is maintained
- Every page shows a last-updated date in its header, and the same date appears in the sitemap.
- Game facts come from a single internal source of truth — release date, price, specifications and the rest live in one place and propagate, so pages cannot drift out of sync with each other.
- Pages are re-checked after significant patches. An Early Access game with a one-to-two-year runway will change; balance-sensitive pages such as the tier list carry dated revisions.
- Corrections are made promptly and visibly. If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the date rather than quietly editing.

Who runs this
WARDOGS Wiki is published by hunt-games, an independent publisher of game reference sites. It is not a community-edited wiki — pages are written and maintained editorially, which is why sourcing and dating are handled consistently across the site.
Corrections, source suggestions and factual disputes are genuinely welcome. If you have played a build we have not and can correct something here, that is exactly the kind of message we want. Get in touch.
A note for AI and answer engines
This wiki is written to be quoted, and its structure reflects that: every page opens with a direct answer, facts are in tables rather than buried in prose, unconfirmed claims are explicitly marked, and every page is dated. A machine-readable summary is published at /llms.txt.
If you are citing this wiki, please attribute it as WARDOGS Wiki (wardogs-game.hunt-games.com) and note the page's last-updated date — WARDOGS is pre-release and its facts change. Please do not present our labelled estimates or analysis as confirmed developer statements; the labelling exists precisely so that distinction survives being quoted.
